De AX024 Silk Clamshell is een grotere versie van de AXL012 en heeft een maximale klemcapaciteit van 584 mm (23\u201d). Het heeft een opstelling met acht onafhankelijke klauwen en wordt aangedreven door twee 1,7 kW (2,3 pk) pneumatische motoren met hoog koppel. De twee continue, automatische voedingen bieden een fijne en grove oppervlakteafwerking. Net als zijn kleinere broers hebben deze precisiegereedschappen een groot aantal verwisselbare "Bolt-On"-extra's voor bijna elke bewerking die in een conventionele machinewerkplaats wordt aangeboden. Deze flexibiliteit biedt een zeer kosteneffectieve oplossing voor bewerkingstoepassingen in het veld, waardoor zowel tijd als geld wordt bespaard.<\/p>\n

Basisring<\/p>\n

Er worden acht afzonderlijke verstelbare klemblokken meegeleverd. Deze kunnen op de basisring worden geplaatst om te passen bij de grootte van de flens die wordt bewerkt. Door deze opstelling kan de machine in positie worden vergrendeld en gecentreerd ten opzichte van de flens met behulp van verstelbare schroeven op de klemblokken.<\/p>\n

Aandrijfring<\/p>\n

De aandrijfringmodule, waarin het lagersamenstel is opgenomen, zorgt voor de aandrijving van het zadel via een worm, wormwiel en interne tandwielopstelling. Het vermogen om de machine aan te drijven wordt geleverd door twee pneumatische aandrijfeenheden van 1,55 pk die op de aandrijfring zijn gemonteerd.<\/p>\n

Zadel<\/p>\n

Het zadel is gemonteerd op de aandrijfring en het lagersamenstel en biedt een stijve structuur waaraan de gereedschapspaal is bevestigd. Met aandrijving die wordt geleverd door de interne tandwielopstelling van de aandrijfring en het zadelopneemtandwiel, draaien de zadel- en steunlagers rond het interne tandwiel in een planetaire beweging.<\/p>\n

Toolpost traverse in en uit wordt verzorgd door een spindel aangedreven door de zadeltandwieloverbrenging. Traverse wordt geselecteerd door een traverse selector. De machine kan sneden tot een maximum van 0,39\u2033 (1 mm) zonder flensgaten en 0,020\u2033 (0,5 mm) met flensgaten realiseren.<\/p>\n
